Look around!
There are teenagers whose lives are lonely around us. There are teenagers whose friends are entangled in drugs or crimes, whose brother has to drop out of school due to economic problems, and whose acquaintances commit abortion. Have your ever browsed the statistics of all those cases? Other than these, there are still other less visible problems, such as teenagers who live their lives without parental figure so that they tend to worry, do not have the principles of truth, and neither dare to dream big nor work hard to make it come true.
Fast forward ten years, due to lack of strong values the time they were teenagers, when they turn adult they will also likely be unready to make important choice or decision. Consequently, the family will not be strong enough, and the decision will not be wise either. There we see a lot of broken families, and even social policies that will generate other disguised problems as economic inequality, injustice wages, and even environment destruction. Every wrong decision results in new problems, and if not being handled immediately, every generation can inherit worse mess for the next generation.
But we can change it – if we can bring young people to meet Christ, and inspire them to bring change to the world. Imagine how much influence that can be made by young people who live for Christ. Young people can mutually inspire each other with the relevant culture and language so that the Good News of Jesus will personally be living among this generation. When their hearts get touched, their character is shaped, and the choices they focus are right in God’s eyes. One person at a time, but slowly expanding to change the whole world in Christ! This effort is not the same as merely making a great and exciting activities. It is much more than just a youth event, as this effort includes spiritual formation process for the driving force, strategic evangelism, media planning, and operations management that require dedicated resources.
This is the reason why Domus Cordis exists – to inspire young people to change the world in Christ. We believe that young people are not the problem. Young people in Christ are indeed the solution. This reason moves the entire life of the community, and directs us to give lives to the Church and young people. It’s challenging, it’s fun, and it’s impacting generation to generation!
So, if you also believe in this reason, contact us to work together for young people and for a better world!
